Lucy cut to the quick. “What is it you want?” She crossed her legs in the opposite direction showing more tiger.
He looked down the path in both direction. Seeing no one he turned back to Lucy. “Oh, the usual thing. A little of this and a little of that.” He waited for her nod. “My car is in the parking lot. Why don’t you meet me there and we’ll take a short ride.”
Lucy made up her mind that this wasn’t the panty raider. Time to get rid of him. She eased her badge from her purse. “Listen asshole, I don’t have time to fuck around with you. Hit the road and if I see you in the park again, I’m running your ass in.”
Her sudden use of vulgarity caused him to flinch and then freeze for a second in shock. Then he jumped up and trotted away from Lucy.
Her phone chimed. “What in the hell was that all about? The guy is now in a dead run. What did you say to him?”
“Just a friendly disagreement. He wanted to take me for a ride. I should have shown him my nine millimeter.” She looked down the path and lowered her voice. “Some guy is coming and he has a briefcase.”
She tried not to stare as he approached. He was wearing a baseball cap pulled low, old jeans and a plain shirt.
The man stopped in front of her bench. “Holy shit,” she thought. “It’s the damn mayor. Is he the pantie raider?” She fluffed her hair to cover more of her face. She moved on the bench causing her dress to ride up, showing a lot of leg and tiger.
“May I sit here? It’s warm and I need to rest.” He sat quickly and had his briefcase in his lap.
