Episode 8 Monday

“What are you talking about?” Detective Lucy leaned toward the woman, her voice harsh. “I saw you out there hiking up your dress to show the reporters. Your ass will be on the evening news tonight.” She paused a moment. “Just how did he get your panties off. How much did he offer?”

LaVerne’s face showed bewilderment. “What do you mean?” She looked at Detective Pine. “What is she talking about?”

“I’m talking about how much cash did he offer to see your rabbit fur panties” Was it ten dollars? Twenty?” Lucy hesitated a few seconds. “More? It must be mink, not rabbit. Come on, we haven’t got all fucking day. How did he get your panties off?”

Detective Lucy’s use of foul language caused LaVerne to visibly wilt. She stood and put her hand on Detective Pine’s shoulder. “I took a step away from him. I didn’t want to be too close. I stepped in a small hole and fell flat on my back. Before I could even say Jim Dandy, he had my panties off and running away. In one second he was through the bushes and out of sight.”

“You poor girl.” Detective Pine said. “Did he hurt you in any way? Did he hit you and leave a bruise?”

LaVerne quickly hiked up her dress and showed a bare thigh. “Not a scratch. He also had the softest hands.”

“Enough, dammit. We don’t want to see or inspect your ass.” Lucy moved to the exit between the two bushes. “Be careful out here walking by yourself. Every pervert in the city will want to see your rabbit panties. We’re done here. We’ll file a report but don’t expect to get your panties back.” She stared at Detective Pine. “Come on, let’s go.
