31st

We left Amarillo at 8, More huge cotton fields.. But the last fifty miles of the Pan Handle is gullies, canyons and hills.. They get worst in New Mexico. We hit Albuquerque and couldn’t stop for traffic. No room at an inn. Kept going south on I-25.. We’re staying in a Comfort Inn in Socorro.. We went to a brewery pub for dinner. Delicious food and tasty Boater beers.
We should be settled in Silver City by One tomorrow.
The time zones have me screwed up. I’m tired and ready to go to bed but it’s only 6.

I am enjoying the trip with you vicariously…..I have gone to bed at 6:00 ()but then up at 3 a.m. No fun especially in a motel room).

    Hi Nelson,

More adventures. You must feel like you’re in the old Wild West, with jet lag, without the jets! A quiet Halloween here. Bill and I went out to Station 7 in Pittsville for a $5.00 burger (they’re scrumptious!), an “Angry Orchard” and a pale ale. No trick or treaters in OP–too dark, not allowed. Miss the kids in their costumes.

On the road sounds fun….especially with the pooches to entertain you! Sounds like a good trip. Hope to hear that you have arrived safe and sound sometime today!

Well, I’m glad you two made it safe and sound to Silver City. How long do you have the house for?
