We drove from Artesia to Carlsbad. Only about an hour away. The caverns are 30 miles south of Carlsbad. We Took the elevator down 750 feet to the big room. Dark down there. hoho
We left the caverns and went to the Desert Life State Park. Very nice. Plants and animal identified. They had eagles, hawks, owls, vultures and more. Plus most of the varieties of desert plant life.
We saw a small (60 lbs.) javalina up close. She was laying next to edge of her cage.
We left Carlsbad and drove to Hobbs, New Mexico. It is about ten miles from Texas.
Clyde loves the traveling. He sleeps 90% of the time in the back seat. The other times he is sitting up looking out the window.
From a La Quenta in Hobbs
