Trip to Gallup

We got a good start this morning. (Thursday) On the road by 8:15. We gassed up and headed north on highway 180. The roads were clear of ice and snow.
From Gila to Reserve, the hills and valleys are moderate. From Reserve to Edgar, Arizona we were going through the edge of the Gila Wilderness and the Mogollon Mountains. In Arizona it was the Apache Mountains. The mountains were high and the valleys deep.
We had lunch in Springerville, Arizona.
From there to Rte. 40, then east back into New Mexico.
We are resting in a La Quinta Motel in Gallup, New Mexico
